Site News July 2016
Yahoo Finance recently redesigned their site. In my opinion, it’s a usability nightmare. Information is less dense. The right side bar is filled with poorly designed graphs (e.g. the earnings estimates graph takes up a large amount of space to show 10 data points that could have been presented as a succinct sub-table). Navigation is poor (e.g. the interactive chart takes up the entire screen and has no direct links to other pages).
This emphasis on style over substance is symptomatic of Yahoo’s problems and explains why their core business is for sale. I’ve switched all links in my tools from Yahoo Finance to NASDAQ. The NASDAQ site still supports direct linking to important information like quarterly cash flow statements, so it’s easier to get the info you need.
